Publisher Description

Writer Imogen Ashen didn’t mind at all that during her childhood her gypsy mother Soleda would disappear for weeks on end. Her devoted grandfather George was more than happy for his granddaughter to stay with him at 22 Montanella Street. It was in his cottage with her feet dangling from a kitchen stool that Imogen first began to tell the stories. Vivid stories about horses and promises, ducklings and noblemen.

Many years later Imogen inherits the cottage and she and her husband move in. She unpacks quickly and settles down to work, excited to be telling stories in the cottage again. But for the first time in her life she is struck with a solid case of writer’s block. Two black kittens appear on her windowsill every morning and she quickly becomes besotted with them, and they with her. When little Tsuki and Taiyo aren’t curled up on Imogen’s lap they’re scampering through the cottage or following her around the rose garden. The curtains close on spring, summer blooms and still not a word has been written. 'What would I do without you two?' she asks her furry companions.

If she only knew…

Once Upon A Path explores the power of intentions as it flows from present to past and back again. A gentle yet powerful reminder that all things are connected.
