Loved it
I absolutely loved Something New. From the first chapter, I was hooked, and I was genuinely sad when it ended because I wasn’t ready to leave the characters behind.
As someone from Western Sydney, I found it incredibly relatable. It was so refreshing to read a modern Australian romance that felt authentic, from the settings and humour to the family dynamics and cultural references. It wasn’t trying to be an American story set in Australia—it felt real and familiar.
The romance was heartfelt, the characters were well developed, and the chemistry between them kept me invested the whole way through. I found myself laughing, smiling, crying, and completely immersed in their journey.
If you’re looking for a contemporary romance with plenty of heart, realistic characters, and a genuine Western Sydney vibe, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s one of those books that stays with you long after you’ve finished, and I’m already hoping there’s a sequel (or a movie!) because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
