Holly Ringland’s debut novel is as emotional as it is vivid, with detailed depictions of Australian landscapes illuminating each new phase of Alice’s troubled life. Before watching the tv series, this is beautiful. I can’t watch the series because in my mind this story holds a place in my heart and imagination. I don’t need to see it

The lost flowers of Alice Hart
I had great difficulty listening to this repetitive physical abuse of the main character. Even the “language of flowers” was unable to lift the frustration and anger I felt while listening to the reactions and behaviours of Alice. Don’t read it , it will only upset you.
