After floods devastate the rural NSW town of Birradurra, journalist Bec Carter and paperboy Jeremy Collins uncover the bones of a baby buried 20 years ago next to the local church.

Two weeks later, Bec’s close friend, Harry Adams, winds up missing after a violent attack. Blood is found at Harry’s house, with no weapon or body to be seen, and Bec finds herself covered in dried blood, but with no memory of why.

Bec is left with two huge problems: Harry was about to tell her crucial information about a devastating cold case that would unravel their rural community – and now she’s the lead suspect in his disappearance.
