Despite being a fan of these authors and many audiobooks under my belt I found it difficult to listen to this narrator. Tone and “over acting” made the experience painful and distracted from the story. Recommend paperback for this one.
A tale like the tales of old...
I first read this novel when I was 15 years old and it lit my way into horror and romance, drama and fantasy like The Talisman draws Jack the path. Thirty years later I listen to the audiobook and relive the amazement, the horror and chaos and the wonderful, surreal order that King and Straub deliver... it is truly a classic adventure that any and all young men should use as bearing to what responsibility, friendship, love and perseverance we need all live up to. Thank you again, Jack... until the next time!
