Publisher Description

We are delighted to offer this most sought after and requested Japanese book on throwing. One of the most prolific Jiu-Jitsu writers of the Ten-Shin [Heaven-Heart] Ryu in the early 1900's was Yae Kichi Yabe (Sensei). According to Yabe's old students he moved to Great Britain in 1902 and began writing "25 Lessons In Official Jiu-Jitsu." Though first published in 1903, he was unsatisfied with the content and therefore expanded upon it in both 1904 and 1905. After moving to the United States, Yabe published his new edition (1905) which became so popular that various colleges and police academies requested him as their master instructor. This text is in English with Yabe and his student demonsrating solo and partner applications. Loaded with old photos and drawings.
