Sarah Chauncey Woolsey (29 January 1835 – 9 April 1905) was an American writer who published under pen name Susan Coolidge. She worked as a nurse during the American Civil War, after which she started wrote literature. She is well known for her children's novel “What Kity Did” published in 1872. The story was based on her brothers and sisters life. During her live she wrote a lot of short stories, poems and other publications that was translated into many languages.
