A Field Book of the Stars

People were amazed with the night sky since ancient times. They have explored the shiny dots on the sky and the forms they create on it.

There so many constellations, from which we only know several. Each of the constellations has their stories mostly originating from the Greek and Roman mythology.

In order to facilitate and make them more popular, the author has written this book. Here, you won’t find any technical information, just those things that you can see with the naked eye or with an opera-glass.

In this book are included and described only those constellations that are visible from the northern hemisphere, New England and Middle States. They are divided into four sections, depending in which season they can be seen, and several sub-sections, depending in which months they can be seen.

Apart from giving information about the constellations, the author mentions the meteoric showers seen, the Milky Way, Meteors, and the stars.

This book gives a great and simple overview of the constellations and the other ornaments of the night sky.
