A Gambit

In a future where humanity has expanded across much of the Milky Way galaxy, life on the frontiers of interstellar Man can be a harsh one. None know that better than Evangeline Sharpe, or Eva as her late mother called her. Bereft of family and home, Eva, all of sixteen Terran years, must make her own way in a frequently indifferent universe. With stubbornness and luck, she will scrape by.
