A Mediated Space

Byline: Samina Mansuri's Aesthetics anchors itself to the perpetual transformation inherent in the material she chooses and in her form; form develops from factors that lie within the artist's physical environment, as much as it is shaped by an ideology that confronts human trauma and the mechanisms of power within it. It is a place of negotiation also, of turmoil that's within the body, to that which is around it. A narrative which extends boundaries of aesthetics and geography, it inverts the sense of self, history and memory into a place which is mediated.
