Lack of motivation
Despite the fact it was VERY OBVIOUS from the get go that she was working for textbook bad guys, she continued almost right to the end believing they were doing medical good. My biggest peeve with this book was that she LITERALLY had no REAL motivation to take the job other than what felt like personal greed. If she had been given a better motive like massive debt or a mountain of hospital bills or a sick relative, that would have given her character more incentive to believe the lie and keep on working. Otherwise she was just a dumbass ignoring the blatantly obvious for MONTHS!
Also the end where they escape but don’t really is a cop out. Not to mention they ignored all the bad signs like easy escape, too long of a recovery from her lake dive and the whole soup and message bit at the end. Also where there drugs her was being given at the clonic that stopped him getting all hairy? Because it kind of seemed like it with the comment at the end about him getting hairier.
Couldn’t finish the book
I tried to get to the end of this book but couldn’t. I usually like books by this author so I kept expecting it to get better.
