A prisoner of his own

Set in 18th century Britain, Laura Carpenter is expected to devote her life serving the Auttenberg family, one of the wealthiest household in the country in honor of her parents’ request. She has then found out later that the young master she first met during her childhood lives in isolation in his own mansion. Only after eighteen years of serving the family that Laura once again meets Daniel, the master who has been prohibited to live by himself out of his stepmother, Baroness Amanda’s ruling. 


To whom would she probably pledge loyalty when out of nowhere, Mrs. Amanda ordered her to serve the abandoned master? To whom would she also devote her life to when Arthur, the baroness son, has offered her marriage, yet all she could think of is Daniel? Trapped between her commitment, love, and loyalty, Laura must make a choice or her own life will be at stake.
