A Ruff Day For Princess Coco

The first book in a charming detective chapter book series for ages 6 to 9 that follows a deaf wannabe detective who discovers she can talk to dogs and uses this newfound ability to find missing pets.

Meet Atlanta – nine years old, aspiring world explorer and in HUGE trouble as soon as her mom discovers her dog Custard (who is also deaf!) just ate Atlanta's hearing aid.

In between panicking and working with her best friend Bukky on an important mission to get the hearing aid back (CODE NAME: POOSCOVERY), Atlanta discovers that this mistake has gifted her a new ability: she can understand what dogs are saying! With great doggie power clearly comes great doggie responsibility, so Atlanta and Custard set up shop as deaf detectives, using their new ability to solve missing pet cases.

First up is Princess Coco, whose disappearance is the hot topic of doggie gossip. But as the days pass and Princess Coco still hasn't been found, Atlanta and Custard realize that it's up to them . . . because if the Deaf Detectives can't find Coco in time, then this Princess might not survive another night in the cold.

This is the first book of a hilarious new chapter book series from deaf author and advocate Samantha Baines, featuring rib-tickling black-and-white illustrations, adorable dogs, and great-dane sized heart and adventure.
