A CHRISTMAS GIFT UNWRAPPED
Christmas Eve is just a few hours away and Anna cannot pretend that she can survive it without crying buckets of tears anymore. On a Christmas just passed, her ex-fiance left her for her best friend. This ruins the season for her.
Enter the handsome, charismatic stranger on the bus. He offered the handkerchief when he saw her tears, a listening ear when she told him why, and a smile of friendship before they parted — only to see each other again in a pastry shop before the hour is up. A painter, he offered to show her his work in his studio near there. After seeing his beautiful nude paintings, Anna decided she needed the confidence boost and an adventure to offset the bad memories that make that season bitter for her. She offered to pose nude for him.
This is a love story that ventures farther than seeking happiness one Christmas Eve, and finding love in the process...

EXCERPT
Anna's fingers toyed with the strings holding her robe closed. She was only vaguely aware of what he was saying, her brain preoccupied with her impending moment of revelation.
"... so just slip out of that robe, and we'll get you into position."
"Huh?" she snapped out of her thoughts.
"If you want to pose nude, you sort of need to be nude first."
"Oh. Yeah, of course." She laughed and tried to hide her nervousness. Finally, she tugged at one of the strings and allowed the robe to fall open. Hesitantly at first, and then with more conviction, she grabbed the edges of the fabric and pulled it away from her shoulders. The light material slipped down her arms and fell to a pile on the floor.
Ian stood staring. His eyes inched slowly over her body, and she felt herself being taken in piece by piece. This man had seen so many naked souls in this very studio, and now she felt as though she was being compared to his catalogue of flesh.
For a long while, nothing happened. He just looked at her, his eyes seeming to want to absorb every detail of her.
"Is something wrong?" she finally asked.
"What?" he shook his head slightly, as though waking from a dream. "No, nothing's wrong. Why do you ask?"
"It's just... the way you were looking at me, I thought maybe..."
"No, Anna. There's nothing wrong. You're absolutely perfect."
