Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865) is one of the most famous Americans in history and one of the country’s most revered presidents. After Lincoln’s death, the two wrote a comprehensive 10 volume biography of Lincoln, offering details that only the people closest to Lincoln could have had. The first volume covers the first 50 years of Lincoln’s life, ending shortly after the John Brown raid on Harper’s Ferry.
