Across Persia (1907) is a first-person travel-adventure narrative by British officer Eliott Crawshay-Williams (1879-1962) who in 1903 took an eight-month journey across the deserts of Persia (Iran). Well written prose, insights on life, Indiana Jones-like explorations of ancient sites and observations of Iranian culture and geography make this an enjoyable and valuable addition from the golden age of travel literature.
