Never underestimate the power of a volatile witch.
Still reeling in the wake of her mother's death, sixteen-year-old Bianca Monroe is forced to move to Chatham Castle. Not even the sudden appearance of ancient dragons in haunted Letum Wood nor her two best friends can distract her from the strength of her deep, dark rage.
Her grief puts her magical powers into chaos, endangering any witch around her. She has six months left to destroy the curse that will kill her and fulfill her contract with the most cunning enemy of all: her former teacher Miss Mabel.
Bianca must make a choice: learn to control her restless powers, or let the powers control her.
Antebellum Awakening is the second book in the thrilling new fantasy collection The Network Series. It's a haunting tale about tragedy, loss, and the power of moving on.

Great Book
I found this book a great read after Miss Mabel’s School for Girls and I would 100% recommend to anyone, even if you haven’t read the first book, though it would help you to understand the characters and their motives. I would recommend for ages 10-14 or older if you’re interested.
Miss Mabels
Good read.. the review by other person who is a raving feminist should be disregarded. Read it as u would any book without bias. I enjoyed it.
Could have been a great series
I would really love to ask this author why she hates women so much? In 2018, it is an author’s responsibility to create empowering stories for women and this certainly is not one of them. The abundance of female characters, including the protagonist and antagonists, only exist to allow the author to execute further literary cruelty against women. Many people do not want to read about the misogynistic societies and stereotypical female bullying that usual only exist in men’s fantasies. Also, side note: the term “gypsy” is racist and “popping food into your mouth” is a cliche and abomination of a phrase (something any good writer knows). I suggest the author examine her own presumably toxic relationships with other women before writing something so harmful.
