I started believing in myself again
Smoking tarnished and ate away at my belief in myself... It harmed me physically , monetarily, & mentally... The worst was mentally as I played tug of war of how I would love to stop but can't with every smoke! This book addressed everything I feared about quitting, the dynamics of it, where the fear comes from, why and what we fear and when it will occur. I realized that my brain was on a fry pan 24/7 at the need to smoke or acquire some if I am out.... It was disgusting! It also surfaced self loath and made me see myself and my actions from a 3rd persons point of view... I was shocked , ashamed & determined! NEVER TO SPEND A CENT OF MY HARD EARNT MONEY ON SMOKES!
The idea of quitting seemed larger then life , after all it was a lifetime of brainwashing and still continues - Non stop! until I realized that I QUIT is a REALITY that already exists WITHIN me! It's in a room in my 'grey matter' that I have subconsciously locked away... All experts and advertisements and friends reinstating and reinforcing non access to this room either through encouragement or disapproval!
