Ambush

A community celebration becomes a killing ground. The attackers disappear. And for C.W. Blakenship, the hunt becomes personal.

The annual picnic and fundraiser at the Hazel Lake Estates Volunteer Fire Department should be a day of celebration. C.W. Blakenship of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is preparing to begin the fundraising raffle when automatic rifle fire tears through the gathering.

In moments, the celebration descends into chaos. Three people are dead and dozens are wounded, including the community's developer. Amid the confusion, the attackers escape.

Blakenship is immediately drawn into the investigation. With friends, colleagues, and an entire community shaken by the violence, finding those responsible becomes more than another case. But identifying the shooters is only the beginning.

As investigators search for motives and identities, the case becomes increasingly complicated. Old grudges, possible targets, and unanswered questions pull Blakenship deeper into a mystery in which each discovery seems to create another possibility-and the violence is far from over.

Set against Colorado's rugged Western Slope, Ambush: Not Forgotten Not Forgiven is a suspenseful crime thriller about violence, vengeance, justice, and an investigator determined to discover why a peaceful community was suddenly turned into a battlefield.
