Astrophysics professor Joan Goodwin’s journey from academia to astronaut is awash with period detail from the early 1980s, as she enters a strange new world filled with interesting people and chases both romantic love and a fresh appreciation of her place in the universe. Reid’s own passion for the subject matter shines through, and you may find yourself tempted to purchase a telescope—or at least spend a bit more time gazing up at the night sky.

Another absolute winner from TJR
Loved this book, as I have loved all her books, but this one is the only one that brought me to tears. Such an easy read but still so touching and inspiring. Highly recommend.
