This story is a great addition to a wonderful series.
Eleri is a telepath, a designation J, she reads the minds of the most horrific criminals, this eventually breaks the shields and sanity of those like herself. She is chasing a serial killer, one who plays games with her and taunts her with his victims. She confronts a boy from her past, a boy who has grown into a man, a leader of his clan. They were destined to be mates but circumstances and duties tore them apart. Now they need to forgive each other, draw strength from their bond and stay strong. The murderer is close and not happy that his game piece has tracked him down, he is watching and furious that his ‘toy’ is getting close to another man, as well as to exposing him.
