Osher Günsberg’s story needs to be read, even if it’s not an altogether happy one. Best known as the charismatic host of The Bachelor Australia (and, back when he was still called Andrew G, Australian Idol), Günsberg long hid a very difficult story behind his welcoming smile. Until now. His memoir is as personal as it gets, focusing on his experiences with addiction and mental illness in unprecedented detail and with remarkable honesty. A great read and insight into Australian media, the fame, the grind, the offerings and the addiction and how consuming it can be for people. The work, pure guts and willpower to overcome addiction is astonishing and at the same time…..inspiring!

I swear to god any thought I’ve ever had about trying drugs was vaporised reading this. It’s for anyone who wants to be famous and seeing the awful side of fame and addiction.

This book was an incredibly pleasant surprise. My new found respect for Osher is something I never thought I would have.
This book is hard to put down. Osher is a legend and I’m thankful for reading this book.
