“Raw emotion, nonstop action, and relentless pacing makes Backlash another one-night read from Brad Thor.” —The Real Book Spy
#1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor is back with his most gripping thriller yet!
In ancient texts, there are stories about men who struck from the shadows, seemingly beyond the reach of death itself. These men were considered part angel, part demon. Their loyalty was to their families, their friends, and their kings. You crossed these men at your peril. And once crossed, there was no crossing back.
They were fearless; men of honor who have been known throughout history by different names: Spartan, Viking, Samurai.
Today, men like these still strike from the shadows. They are highly prized intelligence agents, military operatives, and assassins.
One man is all three.
Two days ago, that man was crossed—badly. Now, far from home and surrounded by his enemy, Scot Harvath must battle his way out.
In the most explosive novel Brad Thor has ever written, page after captivating page of action, intrigue, loyalty, and betrayal will keep you hooked until the very last sentence.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Brad Thor fans can let out that breath they’ve been holding in since the cliff-hanger conclusion of 2018’s Spymaster, but even if this is your first meeting with ex-SEAL Scot Harvath, it’s easy to get swept up in Backlash’s survival-and-revenge story. As the only survivor on a downed plane in the Russian tundra, Harvath fights both the elements and his enemies to get to the Finnish border, while allies around the globe band together to help get their man out of danger. The explosive action made us feel both the freezing cold and Harvath’s indomitable will.
This book raced along
I really enjoyed this book as it was very exciting and fast moving. I know nothing about that part of the world so found that very interesting. It seems rather topical that now in 2022 we are dealing with a similar sounding Russian president..
I wish authors would allow their men to have deep and satisfying relationships instead of killing off their loved ones. We like them to have a modicum of happiness after all they work so hard entertaining us.
A fantastic book-: one of those you stay up late reading into the small hours!,
Could not put it down.
