That was fun. And it was (there is no better word for it), naughty. Especially considering it in the context of the era in which the book is written. I loved it.
Phillip and his friends made so much sense and I found those views refreshing, again, when considering what society was like then and the expectations of what was correct behaviour, even to the extent of denying oneself any happiness that might be found for the sake of being accepted or rejected.
Guy’s journey with Phillip into something he hadn’t dared to consider was delightful.
I loved the humour, I loved feisty Amanda and Phillip’s friends. This was a wonderful read.
