Begging to die
I love the Katie series. Mr Masterson does not disappoint.
Hugely disappointing as series continues
Loved the first books in this series...however I now find that they are becoming a little ludicrous. Each book has an increasing number of police who get murdered...at least seven in the last book. It’s as though working with Kate is like being in an episode of ‘Midsummer Murders’. Also her first husband was murdered...her second love was kidnapped, lost both legs and finally had his throat cut...and then her latest love had his testicles removed. Not to mention her sister being bashed resulting in severe brain damage, her dog being kidnapped and brutalised and her father committing suicide after committing murder. I mean...come on...I know its fiction but it’s all rather silly. There are also big inconsistencies from one book to the next...eg. whilst still whole, her second love is perfect...yet in following books after his death, he is portrayed as controlling and childish. Similar character and scenario changes with colleagues also. It’s like the author is churning out books with little respect for his readers.
