Leif fell hard for Brooke.
Great start to the new generation of Montgomery’s, this is Austin and Sierra's son Lief’s story. He’s all grown up and seeking his own HEA with Brook, the one from years past that got away.
Brooke now a single mum with her awesome son Luke have moved to Denver for a fresh start, with a new job and she just happens to move in next door to Lake (Leif’s cousin). And then the job, that coworker….
Leif while visiting his cousin never expected to bump into a blast from his time in Paris many years ago. The chemistry between the two still exists, he has to tread carefully though as it’s not just the two of them. Then there was that note, phone call…
Recommend reading. This is a well written book with an awesome storyline with a few ups and downs, which makes it a great addition to the Montgomery books. You don’t need to read previous books but it does help. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

This book is about Leif (Austin and Sierra) he is all grown up and running Montgomery Ink Legacy with some of his cousins and best friend.
Brooke is starting a new life in Denver and she happens to move in next door to Lake (Leif’s cousin).
This was a great read and the chemistry between Leif and Brooke 🔥.

Entertaining
If Bittersweet Promises is anything to go by then Carrie Ann Ryan has a winning series on her hands. From the first chapter I was invested in this next generation with Leif Montgomery and Brooke Alder’s second chance at love story.
Years ago Leif thought that Brooke was his forever but circumstances tore them apart. Fast forward and he is shocked when he visits his cousin to discover single mother Brooke living next door.
Re connecting again it is obvious that the passion and attraction is just as bright as it once was. However they both have to come to terms with the past before they can make a future together. I really liked both Leif and Brooke; he knew who he wanted and was determined to win her back. Brooke is such a loving mother, determined and focused and one I admired..
There were moments where I swooned, moments that brought me to tears and moments that had me smiling. All in all an entertaining well written story and I CNN wait to read more tin this latest series.
