Disliked this

The main character Sam has obvious self esteem issues to want to be with a man who repeatedly tells her he is using her and treats her poorly. I find it utterly unbelievable that she would want to be with Dante after everything, his character isn't even likeable! I am not a fan of stories where the female main characters fall for the jerk when his only redeeming feature is he is good in bed. Yuck.

The end sucked!

Now Marie Kelly has become one of my guilt pleasures. She only really has two or maybe three story lines, and then she just mixes up names and a few (but def not all) locations and discussions. I regually find myself thinking that I've read that exact paragraph in another of her books. And let not get me started on the editing (had had had had ).

For all that... I have found that when the book world is letting me down, I can pick up one of MK's and - eye rolling at all of the above aside - I enjoy the read.

Well, for the most part I did enjoy the first half of this book but the ending SUCKED big time (the technical term of course). I really didn't enjoy the last half much at all. It was almost ok as far a MK goes but it all just seemed rushed and a bit 'slap-dash' (yep, another technical term) as far as another moment of angst or confusion.

Again... MK is my guilty pleasure and I hate that I have to pay for her books (even the one or two dollars)... But I still do.

So of you are looking to give her a go... I would recommend trying one of her others.
