THE HILARIOUS, TOUCHING LIFE STORY OF THE ICONIC COMEDIAN AND NATIONAL TREASURE
'Fabulous? Yes. Funny? Absolutely' Mail on Sunday
Jennifer Saunders' comic creations have brought joy to millions. From Comic Strip to Comic Relief, from Bolly-swilling Edina in Ab Fab to her takes on Madonna or Mamma Mia, her characters are household names.
But it's Jennifer herself who has a place in all our hearts. This is her funny, moving and frankly bonkers memoir, filled with laughter, friends and occasional heartache - but never misery.
BONKERS is full of riotous adventures: accidentally enrolling on a teacher training course with a young Dawn French, bluffing her way to each BBC series, shooting Lulu, trading wild faxes with Joanna Lumley, touring India with Ruby Wax and Goldie Hawn. Prepare to chuckle, whoop, and go BONKERS.
'Beautifully written and frequently hilarious' Guardian
'Her account of battling breast cancer is as honest as it is uplifting' Daily Mail
'Endearing and hilarious. If only all celebrity biographies were this funny' Telegraph

Interesting
What an interesting and honest read. Probably the 3rd novel I've read in my life! It's a patience thing! Thank you for sharing. I found once getting close to the end that there was a bit of a speed up, like maybe a bit of procrastination kicked in along the way and then, let's finish writing this book already ☺️ happened!!! Cheers :0)
Absolutely loved this!
The thing is, born in the late 60’s I grew up ( late teenage years) with French and Saunders and the young ones. I am also a social worker who is fascinated with other peoples lives, their strengths, their vulnerabilities and how they enjoy life and conquer adversity ( or don’t but cope). To read this made me laugh, cry, laugh lots more and feel a little connected to the reality of some of my idols lives! It was a joy to read! I could attempt to say something funny but I’m a social worker not an “entertainer “ I’ll leave that to the professionals!
Laughed out loud until I got confused looks by strangers!
This book draws you in as if you are right there in the same memory that is being told. I have read Dear Fatty by Dawn French and Absolutely: A Memoir by Joanna Lumley. Some of their memories are intertwined and are all told in very funny ways. I love this kind of comedy. What a great read!
