Dhammapada (pāli ; sanskrit : dharmapāda ) signifie « Les vers du Dharma ».
C'est l'un des textes du Canon pāli, le Tipitaka ; plus précisément, le Dhammapada fait partie du Khuddaka Nikāya. Il s'agirait d'un des plus anciens textes bouddhiques qui soient conservés de nos jours.
