Solid first entry
I enjoyed this a lot. While I would have appreciated a little more world building, I do like it when an author doesn’t underestimate their audience and dumb everything down by over explaining and heavy exposition. The pacing and intrigue made reading this a breeze. I look forward to discovering more about this world in future instalments.
Poor
Bought this book as it sounded like it was going to be a new and exciting storyline. I was a quarter of the way in before I started wondering if I had accidentally bought a second or third book in a series as nothing was making sense and I had no feel for the universe or characters.... a quick google search said it was the first book. I finished this book only because I paid for it and finishing was a struggle. I’m still don’t really understand what happened...
