Brian and Michelle (Short Story‪)‬

As a trainer in an athletic injuries clinic, I see a lot of life, and not just the strains of physical overuse. Security, for example, came in the other day (he likes to cool off in our air conditioning), and tells me that he found a kid who thought he had a broken leg. The kid was limping badly across our beautiful, green, stadium turf and called to security for help. Security told him that he was trespassing and he should get on his bicycle and get the hell out of there before he got into real trouble. "I guess I was too hard on him," said security. "Maybe he did have a broken leg. I should have brought him down here to you guys." He reached into the ice machine for a handful of ice chips and then strolled out, hitching up his several belts. That is the type of thing we run into here.
