I can't think of another h who annoyed me even half as much as Kate did. Beckett, the H, wasn't a hell of a lot better, neither was the one support character, the brother.
The book was 300pgs long, and I was wishing for it to be one of those annoying book that says 300pgs, but is really only 150pgs cause the rest is advertising etc (I really hate those books, false advertising etc)... LUCKY ME... that's exactly what it was (I was so relieved this time, I gave a little cheer). 160pgs and the torture was over. I came close to DNF so many times, but kept thinking 'it can't possibly stay this bad with this irritating, reality challenged, oblivious h who has no redeeming qualities.' Turns out, it could and did stay that bad.
