Another fantabulous story by Barbara. I love revisiting with other members of the Calloway clan. Annie is such a unique character, Griffin is very mysterious.
Can’t let go
Another fantastic addition to the Callaway family series by Barbara Freethy.
With the right amount of suspense and romance between Annie and Griffin this was hard to put down.
When Annie Callaway decided to get away after losing her job she didn’t figure getting almost attacked by sharks or being rescued by a hot guy who was very much the strong silent type. Griffin had chosen to get away and start fresh after a bad past but it has finally caught up with him and now Annie is also a target for revenge.
Highly recommended reading.
A new author to me
4.5 Star Review of Can't Let Go (The Callaways # 13) by Barbara Freethy
This was a new author to me and I have no idea why I have not heard or read her before and although this is part of a series I didn’t have any problems following.This is the story of Griffin Hale and Annie Calloway.
This is a romantic suspense novel and was extremely well written. The characters were intriguing and I loved how they appeared to be the total opposite of each other but were still attracted.
However all is not as it seems at Griffin’s bar and of course this attracts Annie’s attention and she is determined to investigate. The suspense began in chapter one and built throughout the book and I have to say Ms. Freethy kept us guessing with the build up. Of course Annie has no idea that her investigation will lead her in to danger and Griffin will have no choice but to come to her rescue.
This is a well written, romantic and at times emotional read that held my attention from the start. I enjoyed Barbara Freethy’s writing style and will be looking to read more books in this series.
