From the New York Times Bestselling Author Penny Reid

Part 3 of Elements of Chemistry
One week.
Manhattan apartment.
Super-hot ex-boyfriend.
…What's the worst that could happen?

It's been nine months since Kaitlyn Parker has seen or heard from Martin Sandeke—nine months and five stages of matter. She's lived through the worst of first-love heartbreak, and is most certainly stronger (and less likely to hide in science cabinets) than ever before.

But now Martin is back. And he wants to be friends. But he's sending mixed signals to the Bunsen burner in Kaitlyn's pants. Will Martin re-capture Kaitlyn's heart? Can Kaitlyn and Martin ever be just friends? Or, despite an abundance of chemistry, are some bonds just too unstable to endure?

Elements of Chemistry: CAPTURE is the final part in a three part series; it is 65k words.

Brilliantly emotional

Has all the feels! Absolutely loved the roller coaster ride that is Martin & Kaitlyn's story. This author is amazing. Recommend to all

Big headed romance!

Even though this series is about, and aimed at YA, I, as an (ahem 41yo) (and mostly) A, thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy and found it actually, in many ways, more mature than many (that’s right) romances I have read aimed directly- straight-and right at us (supposed) A’s! 🤪
And mainly because Reid’s writing is smart!
Her characters are a perfect mix of valiant and vulnerable whom I found myself respecting greatly, and the development of them with all their frailties and flaws and flirtations and other (F yeah) F words makes the story fraught with all kinds of tension and possibility, and therefore, captivating.
Mainly though I just can’t get past the brilliance of the words!
That’s right.
They are clever, funny and most fervently fervent (ahhh)
I get (happily) lost in them, eat them up, and highlight everything that makes me giggle and almost everything makes me giggle (or gasp) so the book ends up looking like a kaleidoscopic rainbow of highly, highlighted, highlights!
Yes the words!
What can I say?
The way they are mashed/morphed and magicked together is inspired (and inspiring)
For example:
“She glanced at my fingers like she was a vegan and they were greasy pork sausages. She didn’t shake my hand.”
Haha hilarious!
Or
“heart and stomach were looking to me for direction on whether to soar or switch places, and I had none to offer.”
Not as hilarious, but awww..still so moving (“right in the feels” as Parker would say(or think)).
Love it Penny Reid!
P.S More A books please!

Five star series

I loved this series, maybe it's because I've always felt a little weird as a female engineer, and so identify with Kaitlyn , but I think it's because the characters are so well written that anyone could identify with them.
