CBL for Language Learning

This book has been produced as part of ongoing research into how Challenge Based Learning (CBL) can be adapted in order to meet the needs of language learners.

The participants and location of the research have been anonymised to protect the identities of those involved. The purpose of the research is to provide others with a practical foundation to begin experimenting with this pedagogy in their language learning contexts. Therefore it does not claim that CBL is a one-size-fits-all approach but rather gives a unique perspective into how it has been utilised in a particular context. Additionally, it only offers initial research and predominantly qualitative data which form embryonic stages of investigation. This therefore does not constitute as conventional research. This study is ongoing and it is hoped will be expanded in the future so that it is measured against more concrete key performance indicators.
