Loved it
It was great being back in Fort Lauderdale with the Lauderdale Knights. Cheap Shot, book seven was a good addition to the series. This is Johan and Sloane’s story. Johan is concerned when his matchmaking grandmother contemplates moving from Slovakia to live with him.
Sloane has had a hard life, running away from home at sixteen. Now she is in search of her brother which leads her to Fort Lauderdale.
Meeting Johan, they are attracted to one another. Could Sloane have finally found the man to make her happy? Could she have finally found the family she wanted and needed?

Loved everything about this book
I love my visits to Fort Lauderdale to catch up with the Knights NHL Team and Sloane and Johan’s story in Cheap Shot is the perfect addition this wonderful series. You do not need to read the previous books to become invested in this heartwarming and at times heartbreaking journey as Sloane finds her brother after running away from a terrible life when she was only 16. Reconnecting with her brother Derrick is the only reason she is in Fort Lauderdale but her heart tells her Johan could be the man she needs. Teammates and brothers friends should be off limits but you can’t always control love….so will friendships be broken as lines are crossed. One click to find out. This book ticked all my boxes, I swooned, I sighed and I smiled but more importantly for me Cheap Shot has become my favourite read in this wonderful series. I was captivated from the first word to the last line and the story stayed with me long after the final word was read and that’s a sure sign of a very special book.
