‘To read Paullina Simons is to risk being moved to tears both of sorrow and joy, and not always separately’ GOOD READING MAGAZINE

worth a shot

I love the Bronze Horseman it is my all time favourite book, so was excited to get a little more insight into Alexanders family history. I agree however with past reviews Henry's character was so dull, he had no attractive qualities and Gina was little better. Overall i thought the book was ok, by no means in the same league as the Bronze Horseman trilogy however if there is to be a sequel i will read it as i think she has left this book too wide open and there is some promise i enjoy her style of writing - but also agree that there was probably a little to much political/historical content.

Very slow

I usually love Paullina Simons novels but her last two were not my favourites by far.

Children of Liberty is so slow. I read Paulina books for their story. This book hardly had a story where most pages were filled with politics and rules.

The ending was also a little disappointing. All in all I didn't enjoy it.
