Publisher Description
Spending the summer in her small West Virginia hometown after 25 years away, Elinor takes on the task of helping her hospitalized mother by decluttering the hoarded family home. But everyone has an opinion about how she should do the cleanup. The hunky county inspector demands that Elinor dump the junk in a hurry, and he keeps coming around, pressuring her and at the same time tempting her. Meanwhile, her bossy elder sister insists there must be a slow and careful sort, yet Mom is furious that Elinor dares to touch her possessions at all.
What should Elinor do, when family secrets, surprises on the doorstep, and a rocky romance complicate the daunting task of cleaning her house?
Cleaning Her House is a warm, stand-alone women's fiction novel featuring a rich variety of characters, a romance with a hint of steam, family secrets, and a ton of clutter. There's a happy ending, too. (Maybe not for the clutter.)

Facing the Past
This is a wonderful tale of dealing with family and secrets from the past. Elinor, and her siblings, face the task of clearing their mothers house after she is hospitalised. Elinor is given the daunting task of sorting all her mothers clutter, but while she painfully sorts she finds herself surrounded by old friends, new friends, her family and the one man she may be able to love. Secrets are revealed and Elinor and her siblings finally come to terms with their past.
Cleaning Her House
Enjoyed this story with its many current family challenges. Character portrayals unfolded in varying ways throughout the story. Home cluttering and hoarding are issues challenging to manage in both young and old, as are broken families. I was reluctant to put this book down until finished. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
