Loved the story telling. The characters came to life for me and had to keep reading.
A tough slog
I’ve been a Nora fan for decades. She’s a master storyteller and excellent writer. But this book was a tough read. I had to take frequent breaks. It was much darker and heavier than I’ve experienced from Nora before. Which made the light and more typical style that juxtaposed the dark very disorienting. I read the whole book. And it had a happy ending. But I’m still left with a greasy sick sensation.

This book is my all time favourite from Nora Roberts. The characters are well written. The story line kept me turning page after page. Couldn’t put it down.
