George Orwell was an English novelist and journalist best known for writing Nineteen Eighty-Four, a novel about a badly oppressive and all around corrupt government.  Orwell’s writing was often about social injustice and totalitarianism and Nineteen Eighty-Four is perhaps the most famous novel on the subjects.  Other extremely famous works by Orwell include Animal Farm and Homage to Catalonia.

Orwell’s Coming Up for Air is a socially critical novel on English capitalism and commercialism.  The novel was published in 1939 just before the start of World War II.  This version includes a table of contents.
