Complicit

This is the story of Charlie Ford, a decorated Vietnam-era Navy pilot. Charlie launched his civilian career piloting commercial air freight across the Gulf Coast states. In 1985, a chance meeting with his former wing man drew him into the CIA's private war against communist rebels in Central America.



The Nicaraguan arm shot down a C-123 cargo plane in 1986, near the southern border with Costa Rica. Three Americans died in that crash; another was captured two days later. Few are aware that two men were never captured, escaping through dense jungle. One of them was Charlie Ford.



Instead of finding a safe haven back in the States, Charlie found that he and his family faced an even greater enemy.
