Conversation with a Grieving Man

This is a fictional conversation between a Russian Orthodox clergyman and one of his spiritual children who is struggling with depression. It is based on the counsel given in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, to "comfort each other and edify one another." The talk explores complex issues of evil and suffering, all viewed through the lense of God's sovereignty and Fatherly care, and mediated with compassion and wisdom. It serves as a template for all who are going through difficult times and want to know how to draw closer to God and find comfort in His Word.
