Crossed By Death
Publisher Description
Salvaging from historic buildings isn't supposed to require reporting a murder.
When salvage expert and historian Paisley Sutton crawls into an abandoned store with a house attached, she certainly isn't expecting to find a body on site. But soon, her discovery sends Paisley on an expedition through history that links this murder to the one that led the previous owners to abandon the building in the first place. And someone doesn't want her to salvage this story from the wreckage.
Can Paisley preserve herself and her young son while also uncovering the stories that matter most?

Crossed by Death
A good solid cozy mystery, I enjoyed this light read, I will read more from this author.
HOWEVER, a toddler left in a closed vehicle while the mother runs what she thinks is a quick errand, is a fatal mistake.
I sincerely beg the author to please remove any and all instances even hinting of this action.
There have been many tragic and severely disabling injuries and deaths over many years, from babies, toddlers and children left in vehicles, in which temperatures in summer and on warm days, very quickly rise to extreme hot temperatures incompatible with life. It is against the law in Australia to leave a child or animal untended in a vehicle at any time.
