2046: Coru has spent a harrowing year in a greatly changed past world, protecting—and loving—Wren Wood. The evidence is clear—this aberration of the earth's history is Zhang's doing, who Coru suspects is passing in this century as Professor Red & must be stopped.

Wren and Coru reveal Coru's time travel secret to a few trusted Outlanders, and what it means to their very existence. Together, they form a bold plan, a small, fast moving team, and set out to slip inside Old Vancouver, now New Pacifica, under the cover of darkness. Their goal? Stop Zhang and his POE army before they reach Freeland, and rescue Payton—if he can be found...
