Coincidence?
As more murders shake the city and she’s increasingly drawn out from hiding, Reagan is forced to confront her greatest fear.
She’s been found.
A riveting psychological thriller drawn from true events, Dark Mode delves into the terrifying reality of the dark web, and the price we pay for surrendering our privacy one click at a time.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
After years of keeping a low profile—especially online—Reagan Carsen comes across a gruesome murder scene during her morning jog in Sydney. What’s even more disturbing is how much the victim resembles her. Reagan immediately suspects that her stalker has found her again, yet she can’t go to the police because of his connections in the force. Ashley Kalagian Blunt’s Dark Mode is a timely thriller about the threats that women face every day. Taking inspiration from both classic thrillers and contemporary non-fiction about the frightening ease of surveillance, Blunt’s novel exposes just how easily misogynist rhetoric can build to a fever pitch.
Customer Reviews
Great thriller but didn’t enjoy ending
I really enjoyed this book but the ending was quite chaotic and didn’t make too much sense/wasn’t overly convincing.
Loved it on so many levels!
This book ticked all the boxes for me including ones I didn’t even know I had:
✅ lost track of time reading it
✅ true crime thriller
✅ set in my old stomping ground of Sydney’s inner west
✅ great, 3 dimensional characters esp the female leads
✅ love a book that makes me immediately google and go down rabbit holes I never knew existed. Monkey faced orchids - who knew??
Thrilling
Awesome read, thrilling and exciting through to the end.
