We read this chilling thriller in two days, poised on a knife’s edge of suspense the entire time. Carly Townsend has moved to Newcastle to escape the traumas of the past. With its soaring ceilings and gorgeous wood floors, her new loft apartment is a dream come true…until she wakes up the third night there with an intruder leaning over her bed. Darkest Place is relentlessly scary, but there’s a satisfying romantic subplot to offset the tension. It’s the kind of unpredictable, heart-pumping story that will appeal to fans of The Girl on the Train.

Twisted
I really enjoyed this and finished it within 3 days. It was twisty and messed up; in the best way. I did guess who the culprit was halfway through though which was the only disappointment.
A perfect book if you love a good stalker thriller.
Loved it!
It took me a while to commit to purchasing this book... Just wasn't sure from the blurb if I would be into it, but I'm so glad I did! Really great read and kept me guessing until the end.
Also loved that I knew all the places in the book - next time I'm in Newcastle I'm going to look for the warehouse that inspired this book!

I couldn’t put this book down. I had to know. I had to keep reading. And I wasn’t disappointed. I have read all the books by the author & by a long shot this is the best ever. Be prepared, it’s not for the fain hearted & don’t forget to check the locks on your doors at night!! Better than the five stars I gave it. Thankyou jaye Ford for such a cracking read.
