Darkness is gathering. 

I've survived a terrifying fate and discovered why I'm perpetually followed by ghosts. The worst is behind me now. Right?

I simply want to enjoy my newfound circle of friends—and being in love—but even that's fraught with drama. I'm banned from being with him and we're struggling to resist our urges. Surely stealing a moment with Drew couldn't be that bad.

But there's something dark at the academy, and it's targeting me. Day by day, an army of shades grows in strength and numbers. When my friends' abilities falter, I must ask myself: am I the cause? And will this darkness destroy the people I love?

The enemies who want our powers are closing in, ready to take advantage of any weaknesses in the circle. We don't know who to trust. In the face of devastating betrayals and fractures, how can our circle ever be whole again?
