Gripping, Action-Packed with Unexpected Twists
Talia Logan's "Deadly Chance" strikes a splendid balance between action and romantic suspense. I was hooked right from page one, and Logan's writing style makes it an immersive read. The character lens of Tempest Raines is very comprehensive, presenting her as a striking, strong, determined woman, a dedicated mother and an exceptional photojournalist. Chance Adams, the male protagonist, exudes charm, expertise and a layer of bashfulness. Both characters are kick-ass and driven, both so similar and yet so different and this fusion makes their chemistry sizzle. The kidnapping of Sloan, Tempest's son, will shake both their worlds as they not only to deal with the dire present circumstance, but they collectively have to go down memory lane.
This book takes you on an adventure, where you'll find yourself in Virginia, Greece and Russia. In your mind's eye, you will visit these places thanks to Tahlia's ability to infuse life to her vivid descriptions. It's full of unexpected twists and turns, and it will keep you on your toes, with multiple perspectives of Tempest, Chance and Sloan. A satisfying read, making it a 5-star all the way! I received this book from the author and this honest review is left voluntarily.
