Publisher Description
What would you do if you received a message from a stranger telling you that your daughter, who is travelling alone in Turkey, is having some sort of mental health episode?
Dear Psychosis, is a confronting, dramatic and no-holds-barred account of a family's experience following their daughter's first-ever psychotic episode in Istanbul, and her later diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
To some, it may be a warning, to others a story of hope. Most of all, it shows how the love and care given by strangers and family alike paved the way for their daughter's recovery and inspired the family to break the silence around mental illness.
Dear Psychosis, is a powerful story that needs to be heard.

Best book I've read in years!
Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start. Well, firstly, I was sucked into the pages and the lives of this beautiful, close-knit family because so much of this story resonated with ours. My heart pounded in tune with Sarah’s every step of the journey, and I ached for dear Alice through her darkest days, weeks, and months. If you are suffering from any mental health illness or a loved one, read this book, for it will encourage you and give you hope. And if you're not but like to read, I promise you won't regret it. From the first page to the last, I was hooked and emotionally invested. It gave me flashbacks to when my daughter had drug psychosis and was later diagnosed with bipolar. The heartache, anguish and grief that I went through was a lonely journey. Bravo to you, Sarah and Alice, for sharing your story. I hope it brings others hope, and if nothing other than awareness to everyone, then that is a positive step forward. I just finished reading this compelling book, and I already want to reread it.
