Death by Magic

A detective story set in a parallel world where magic is strong but the talent to use it is very randomly distributed in the population. The authorities seek to control magic users by training them as wizards. Those who fail to be categorised as wizards but can administer magic are classed as witches and warlocks and generally feared by society.
